We’re a family of digital nomads with decades of travel between us to all kinds of places – from Australia to Zimbabwe. We’ve explored exotic islands like The Galápagos and Fiji, feasted in cities like Hong Kong and Paris, and found adventure surfing sand in Sossusvlei and shredding snow at the Remarks.
“Piano, piano” is our mantra – slowly, slowly and we spend weeks rather than days in all kinds of places around the world – from hotspots like Madeira to hidden gems in the deep south of New Zealand.
Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

We’re not influencers. We’re way more Mitchells than Posies (this scene from The Mitchells vs. The Machines). Laughs and tears, invaluable travel tips and costly disasters… NomadThings is about showing what the nomad life is really like for a real family.
Our average budget is just £2,000 (US$2,750) a month total for 2 adults and a teen – that’s accommodation, food, travel, bills, insurance, flights … everything. We travel with one carry-on bag each, so small they’re free even on the most constrictive of budget airlines.
